How Do They Operate?
Once you are in the ACS system it is very difficult to get out. ACS will call you periodically to make additional demands like drug tests or a parenting class. This is done in every case, regardless of guilt or innocence. ACS wants as many parent in parenting classes as possible. If a parent refuses to take these classes, the ACS worker will threaten to go to court and remove the child from the home.
Often the ACS worker will arrive at the home with a police officer. This is meant to scare he parent. Do not let them into the home. Demand to speak to an attorney. It is important to put up as much resistance as possible. If you do that, then the ACS worker will move on to an easier target.
